Demonstrations PEERNET Reports for J2EE utilizes the request object of the PEERNET Reports Object Model to perform push, pull, or push and pull operations on a report or label.
Pull Demonstration
A request object's pull side is referred to as a ConvertTo. A request can have only one ConvertTo operation enabled at a time. As an example, you could use a ConvertTo operation that results in the request returning a data stream containing an Adobe PDF document. There are many types of ConvertTo operations built into PEERNET Reports. The form below allows you to work with a sample request that returns a variety of responses, and gives you an idea of the pull capabilities of PEERNET Reports.
Push Demonstration
A request object's push side is referred to as a PrintTo. A request can have more than one PrintTo operation enabled at a time. A PrintTo provides a means of printing a report or label remotely, where the server is processing the print request. The form below allows you to use a PrintTo to send a job to the default system printer on the server running PEERNET Reports for J2EE.
Printing Automation Demonstration
Another feature of PEERNET Reports for J2EE is the embeddable Java Applet that allows for the automation of previewing and printing reports or labels on a client machine through a web browser. Note that this requires a web browser to be running Sun's JDK 1.4.2 plug-in or higher; it will not run under Microsoft
JVM.
